On page 29, Elma McCleary Youth Soccer Club is the topic. More specifically our annual Roast Beef Dinner! This year, Brenda Heintz, the office manager for Washington Youth Soccer, and her husband enjoyed our dinner, pumpkin pie and the friendship. Included are two pictures of team members serving and cleaning!

EMYSC needs backhoe for Eagle Support!
Field development is a monumental undertaking; estimated costs four years ago to have contractors complete the project were over 800 thousand dollars. So, this means to complete the field projects, we are working with volunteers and donations as much as possible.
Currently, Kyle Housden, is awaiting ditch digging before he can complete his Eagle project for Boy Scouts. Anyone with a backhoe, experience and time who would be willing to help the club with this next phase of the project is asked to contact the field development committee by email.
EMYSC has Eagle support! Way to go, Kyle!

Pictures Delivered
Pictures that were taken on September 13 have arrived at coaches homes. Does EMYSC use Star Images as their photo company in the future? Please email you board or attend the next meeting on October 20 at 7 pm at the United Methodist Church on the corner of 5th and Young to express your thoughts and provide your Board of Directors with input. Feed back can be directed to the board or Star Images.

Field Development Updates
|

Thanks to the Lions Club of Orting for a generous donation of 70 foot & 90 foot lighting poles for our soccer fields.
The Field Development Committee held its first meeting Thursday, May 8. Many faithful people turned out to help this project move forward. The next expected phase of the fields will be to put in the drainage necessary. The school has organized with the county to kill the current scotchbroom epidemic. Ditch digging will begin after that has been addressed.
Thanks to Kyle Housden, Boy Scout of America Eagle candidate, who has expressed interest in aiding this task. Kyle will be working closely with the EMYSC board, the school board, and the field development committee to help; as well as meeting BSA's rigorous requirements.
Petit Oil, US Marine Corp, Vessey Bros., and many more deserve our thanks and gratitude for their generosity! A great big thank you to Schumacher Electric for helping with storage for supplies. Donations from all over are helping make our community a better place for our children!
